Kent Under 16's capped their excellent season with a 4-1 victory over Middlesex in the South-East Final. After a good start by both teams, Kent worked their way to a 2-0 lead at half-time with goals from Archie Johnson and Josh Reid. Although Middlesex battled well to remain in the game, Kent always looked good value for their lead and further goals from Stephen Ikpeme and an Alfie Paxman penalty wrapped up the final, which was played at Watford FC's training ground.

Twelve matches this season have seen the Kent Under 16's lose just once, when they suffered a 0-1 defeat to West Midlands in the national quarter-final. After three years with this age group, team managers Andy Raines and Richard Crutchfield are justifiably proud of the way in which the players have represented the county, both in this country and in the USA over the New Year period.
