First Half

As we all settled into the match, we started to take control of the ball and created some good moves from back to front.

Hertfordshire were well drilled and kept a good shape. We were keeping good possession and switching the play well, which helped find the spaces to move forward.

Troy took advantage of some space created and scored to make it 1-0.

We continued to pass the ball around and worked a great move for Evan to make a great run from midfield and score to make it 2-0.

Hertfordshire continued to try and play through us, but we stayed strong and defended well to keep them from scoring.

Another good switch of tempo gave Evan another opportunity that he put away to make it 3-0 at Halftime.

Second Half

We made a few changes at halftime, but again looked to keep on the front foot.

Hertfordshire started the half strongly after the break with some changes of their own, and their midfield were seeing more of the ball.

After some good footwork Hertfordshire created a chance at the edge of our box, which ended in foul, and penalty being given. The resulting penalty was converted well, making it 3-1.

We had created some good chances, and eventually Freddie scored to make it 4-1.

Really good play from both teams towards the end of the game, but match finished 4-1 to Kent.

A great first game for the u14’s.
