15th DECEMBER 2018

We arrived at Middlesex early for our next league game of the season and the last game before Christmas.

We started slowly which was unlike us and found ourselves chasing the ball and 20 minutes into the first half a harsh penalty was given against us and the Middlesex player slotted it away.  The conditions were terrible and we needed to really start playing better and keep hold of the ball.  We started to get back into the game and had some half chances including one cleared off the line and a wrongly disallowed goal for offside.  The half time whistle went and for the first time we found ourselves behind.

We started the second half strongly, applying heavy pressure and forcing Middlesex to make mistakes and a few minutes in Finley Cotton slotted the ball into the bottom corner of the net to make it 1-1.  We continued to play well and not long after Harvey Welford scored to make it 2-1 to Kent.  We were playing well and all over Middlesex however they played a long ball through the middle and their striker scored making it 2-2.  Moments later Joseph Terry scored an absolute screamer from outside the box to make it 3-2 to Kent.  We continued to battle but Middlesex got a corner and scored with a header making it 3-3 and that is how the game finished.

We were disappointed not to get the win however we fought hard and kept up our unbeaten record.

I would like to wish James and Chris, the boys and their families a very Happy Christmas and we look forward to getting back to winning ways in the New Year.
