Kent U12s v Independent School Pumas 30th March
Kent started the game with a high intensity and a great attitude towards the early minutes of the game. The first quarter was a tight affair with very few chances for either team. This was down to some excellent defending by the Kent defence of Brandon Barrance, Harvey Jackson and Hugo Taylor with also excellent goalkeeping from Carter Sullivan. After the first quarter the game was goalless.
The second quarter was very similar to the first. However, Kent began to slowly dominate and control the game with Ellis Shadwell creating several chances down the left wing. Again the quarter finished 0:0 with Kayden Abnett keeping Kent out from scoring in the Pumas' goal as the opposition had no goalkeeper.
The third quarter however was a goal fest with goals from both sides. Kent’s early dominance prevailed with Harvey Jackson and Ben Clark putting Kent 2:0 up. The opposition then quickly pulled it back to 2:2. However, Kent then came back strong with goals from Jayden Nye and Jecy Edorh which sent Kent into the final quarter 4:3 up. Harry Waldock assisted a number of goals and also created multiple opportunities to score.
After a competitive first few minutes in the final quarter, Kent then showed their quality with three further outstanding goals. One goal scored by Jimmy Heasman and two from outside the box from Jecy Edorh and Ben Clark. The final score was a comfortable 7:3 win with another outstanding performance by Kent. Finally, a shout out to Harry Clout for his support despite being injured and unavailable to play the game.
