Kent Schools Under 14 Girls Squad have joined the county’s Under 18 boys in reaching an ESFA national final. On a rain-soaked evening at Maidstone United’s Gallagher Stadium, Kent swept aside a plucky Dorset team 7-0 to reach the final for the second successive season. Kent went ahead in the first five minutes and from that point never looked back, playing some excellent flowing football that overwhelmed their opponents. Milly Isaac (Maidstone Grammar School for Girls) led the way with a hat-trick, and Kent’s other scorers were Sam Booker (2), Miri Taylor (penalty) and Ella Rutherford. Kent now await the outcome of the Surrey v Lancashire semi-final to discover their opponents in the national final.
The Kent Schools FA would like to express its appreciation to COHESION of Tonbridge for sponsoring the match balls for the game. Such assistance is always very gratefully received. We’re also grateful to John Chirnside Ltd for sponsoring match balls for the Under 14 boys’ games, and Chris McCarthy for the sponsorship of the Under 16 boys’ match balls. Further offers welcome from other businesses and organisations!
