The Kent Schools Under 16 Girls’ Squad are in the Final of the ESFA National Cup, following a convincing 4-2 victory over Hampshire Schools in the semi-final. Kent started the game brightly and dominated the first half to lead 2-0 at the break. A third goal soon after the re-start gave Hampshire a mountain to climb, but they pulled a goal back direct from a free-kick before Kent added a fourth. A penalty reduced the arrears for Hampshire, but Kent finished deserved winners. Goalscorers for Kent were Kit Graham (Westlands School, Sittingbourne) with two, Alice Singyard (Westlands) and Courtney Gibson (Dartford Girls Grammar School). Kent will play Nottinghamshire or Durham in the final, provisionally at Nottingham Forest FC on Wednesday 23rd March.
