Four goals from Miri Taylor swept Kent Schools Under 14 girls’ team into the semi-finals of the ESFA National Cup, in a convincing 5-2 win over Hertfordshire Schools. Kent were 3-0 up at half-time thanks to a brace from Taylor and another from Alessia Russo and, despite a two-goal response from Hertfordshire after the break, two further strikes from Taylor saw Kent home. The draw for the semi-finals has yet to be made.
Kent Schools Under 16’s and Under 18’s have both reached the quarter-finals of their respective ESFA national competitions. The Under 16’s face a long trip up the east coast to play the winners of the Lincolnshire v Humberside tie, whilst the Under 18’s will be hosting the winners of the West Midlands v Shropshire game.
