Congratulations to James O’Halloran, a member of the Kent Schools FA Under 18 Squad, who starred for England Schools in their 5-1 win over Scotland in the Centenary Shield. Having been nominated for England by Kent Schools FA, James is in his second season in the England squad and has been appointed vice-captain. In recent seasons, there have been more international players (including Chris Smalling) from Kent than any other county, highlighting the strength of schools’ football at all levels.
In the Scotland game, played at Greenock Morton FC, Kingsford Adjei from Gloucestershire stole the show with four goals, as England got off to a flying start in their defence of the Centenary Shield. The next game in the tournament is at home to Northern Ireland on Friday 24th March at Torquay United FC.
In the photo, James (wearing his Kent tie!) is pictured receiving his England shirt from ESFA Chairman Alan Johnston.
