Kent teams got their programme of home fixtures in the South-East competitions off to a good start when the Under 14’s and Under 15’s hosted Surrey Schools at Thamesmead. Surrey Under 14’s came into the match on the back of an 8-0 victory over Sussex, but a solid performance from Kent saw the home side triumph 2-0 with goals from Harry Taylor and Rob Strachan. Meanwhile, a hard-fought draw for the Under 15’s saw Kent’s goal scored by Billy Lewins.
The Under 16’s game against Surrey was postponed to enable them to travel to Cambridgeshire in the ESFA inter-county competition. Kent returned home with a 4-2 victory, with goals from Shai Thorley-Porter, Connor Wilkins, Jardel Bundu-Kamara and Lucas Murrain, to earn a home tie against Oxfordshire in the next round.
