Two Kent schools are looking to extend their successful cup runs by reaching the national finals of ESFA competitions. From an initial entry of 765 schools in the Under 16 boys’ cup, Towers School from Ashford have reached the quarter-finals, and will travel to Essex to play Basildon Upper Academy. In the Under 16 girls’ competition, meanwhile, Westlands School from Sittingbourne have reached the semi-finals, where they will play Tideway School from Sussex. This game will be played on neutral territory at Welbeck Defence College.

Two Westlands players, Kit Graham and Alice Singyard, are in the successful Kent Schools Under 16 Girls’ Squad, which has reached the Final of the ESFA National Cup following a convincing 4-2 victory over Hampshire Schools in the semi-final. Kent will play Nottinghamshire or Durham in the final.
