Two Kent teams have made further progress in the ESFA national competitions. The Under 18’s, bidding to retain the trophy they won last season, beat Worcestershire 3-0 in the quarter-finals. Two goals from Rene Armstrong, recently selected for the England Under 18 Squad along with team-mates Eliott Cutts and Aaron Simpson, together with one from Patrick Okwudinka, gave Kent a comfortable victory and a home semi-final against Essex.
Meanwhile, The Kent under 14’s retained their 100 per cent record this season with a 5-1 win over Norfolk. A Harry Taylor hat-trick led the way for Kent, and there were also goals for Rob Strachan and Wesley Kirchoff. Kent now have a home quarter-final against Berkshire.
